The Rev. Dr. James R. Beebe has been an Episcopal priest for 14 years. His areas of interest include pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, teaching and preaching. His doctoral work explored the points of contact between classical Christian spirituality and the postmodern ethos. He is currently the Rector of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Incline Village.
Joan Peyser

Joan moved from Pennsylvania to Reno in 2003. In Pennsylvania she offered Spiritual Direction for two years to both men and women, some of whom were clergy. Her spiritual journey has found its way through the Christian tradition, and she experiences God as revealed in the Risen Christ. She currently attends Trinity Episcopal Church. Her training was through Oasis Ministries for Spiritual Development, Inc., Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. This was a two-year program: "Spiritual Director for Spiritual Guides", modeled from the program offered at Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation, Washington, D.C.

Nancy received her Master's Degree in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University, a Jesuit school. She has completed internships and been certified in Spiritual Direction as well as in the Art of Supervising Spiritual Directors. She has practiced spiritual direction since 1996, is supervised on a regular basis, and receives Spiritual Direction monthly as an ongoing spiritual discipline. She often teaches Introduction to Religion at the University of Nevada-Reno during the spring semester.

Dr. Julius Rogina is a Clinical and Consulting Psychologist in Reno, Nevada and an Associate Professor for the University of Nevada-Reno. He is a priest at Trinity Episcopal Church in Reno. He is very well-known in the region for conducting classes and retreats in the areas of reconciliation, Ignatian spirituality, and the Enneagram.
Jane Rohrer, M.A., M.A., M.T.S., Ph.D.
After retirement. Dr. Jane Rohrer received a Master of Theological Studies
degree from Seabury-Western Episcopalian Seminary in Evanston, IL in 2005.
She began taking coursework in spiritual direction during this time at Loyola
University, Chicago. Since then, she has been doing spiritual direction
through the Christian Formation and Direction Ministries program, a two-year
ecumenical spiritual direction certificate program based on the Shalem
model. Jane is a licensed Catechist for the Nevada Diocese of the
Episcopal Church, and is particularly interested in spiritual practices as a
response to aging.
