Developing a Relationship with the Holy Spirit

To develop a friendship with the Holy Spirit, we need to know something of what the Holy Spirit does.  Put on some soft instrumental music, and light a candle in a dimlit room. As the music plays softly, read the scriptures slowly. Do not bother to read the reference, such as, Luke 2:20, which will be in parentheses. Think of this as an intimate sharing from the Holy Spirit to you personally. If you are yearning to know the feminine in God, think of the Holy Spirit as feminine. If the traditional translation is what you think as best, think of the Holy Spirit as masculine. As the scriptures are read, see which one seems to be just for you. Notice what happens in your mind, emotions and body when you are seized by a particular scripture.   When the last one is read, please blow out your candle and wait in silence for a few minutes. During this time, ponder the scriptures that "chose you", they are given by the Holy Spirit. Silently talk to the Holy Spirit about your thoughts and feelings. Close with the Lord's Prayer.
